Mets Baseball 2011

I am not really sure how to write this blog because I just want to be able to convey how ExCiTiNg the baseball tournament was for our little baseball team was at the end of the season. First of all, we couldn't have asked for a better coach, team, or playing experience for Connor. It was a phenomenal experience and he improved so much! Furthermore, he absolutely loved every second and had fun. He wants to play baseball 24/7 now. In the house, by the pool, in the yard, at nona & papa's, at gigi & pa's, pretty much everywhere! Our 5/6 Mets team rounded out the season being undefeated during the regular season and took 2nd place in the tournament. I know everyone says this...but we really did deserve to win. The most important thing was the huge smile on these kids faces when they received their trophies, the THREE games we played that night were definitely "something to see!" To everyone who came and watched Connor throughout the season, thank you. He noticed each and every time someone was there to watch him and it meant a lot to him! I know how difficult it can be to get to someone's ball game when you just want to to stay in and relax or sleep in on a Saturday morning, we've done it many THANK YOU to Connor's awesome fans! ;) Every child on the team had their own little "highlight of the night" - but Connor's was the fact that he scored the winning run that pushed us into being able to play the third game of the night for the Championship. He was ecstatic about this and my heart was literally bursting with pride!!! We all did so much cheering that we were hoarse for the next couple of days, but I wouldn't take it back for anything! The intensity, adrenaline, and fun is so hard to explain unless you were there...but we were just so proud of Connor and the rest of the team. My only regret of the night is that I didn't charge either of my cameras that day, so I had to use the iPhone for the pics...I apologize for the quality!

Camden & Connor after the games. Connor watches Cam on the baseball field and just loves watching him play and learning from him. This kid is AWESOME at baseball and is so fun to watch! He really has an unusual ability for his age.

Mark kept talking about how baseball has never been his thing, he didn't really want to coach because football was the sport he coached and blah blah blah...let me tell you, best coach ever!!! Thanks for everything Coach Mark!

Our end of the season party was hosted in the neighborhood of one of the players on the team, and their pool was a HIT with the boys (and some parents)!

As you can see in the pic above, I had to remind Drew not to push the kids down running to the slide - hehe, I am kidding, kind of!

Just want to say one more time how proud we were of our little Mets player this year, can't wait for the next baseball season!!!
