Happy Birthday Daddy

Happy Birthday to the best Daddy (and Papa) in the world!!!! We love you so much, and we couldn't have asked for a better Dad!! The good Lord is capable of everything, but he certainly sends the right parents to the right children, and we are so glad he sent you to us!!!

With all of our Love,
Drew, Lindsey, and Connor

We enjoy lots and lots of pool days during the Summer. But, sometimes, even if it is sunny, one must do adult things such as clean house...yuck! But, that's what I am doing today. Connor is playing with all of the toys that didn't make it down to the beach with us. I will admit that I hate to clean, but once it is over and done with, the house feels so good and smells so good. I hope everyone is enjoying the summer time, because it is flying by.

Back to reality...

We are back, pictures and a vacation recap will follow. As always, we left the beach kicking and screaming sad. But, nevertheless, we are home and ready to tackle the joys of everyday life again! We get to see everyone this afternoon, and I am sure there are a few people ready to see Connor-man! ;)

Beach update...

Greetings from the Beach!!!! We are enjoying the GORGEOUS water and beautiful sunshine. We took a break for lunch in the condo and it's looking kind of stormy, but sun surrounding the dark clouds, so hopefully this pass soon! I took this picture on my phone yesterday, and I thought it turned out to be really good. Isn't the sand bar gorgeous? Love to you all, see you in a week!

Overwhelmed

Wow, I am just absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support shown to the Garrison family these past few days. I know that the Garrison's are an old family in this community, but it is still such a blessing to receive the support that our family, Nanny G, Robbie, and Andy received. Not many people experience that amount of visitors at the funeral home and their house before he passed, and we are truly loved and fortunate. Thank you so much to anyone who has done anything for our family during the loss of Robert. Please continue to keep everyone in your prayers. We love you all and are so blessed to have you.

Please keep the Garrison family in your prayers, especially Nanny. Papa "G" passed away early this morning. He was in his home with family surrounding him. Thank you so much for all of the food, phone calls, and visits thus far. We are all so blessed to live in such a close knit community.
Love,
Lindsey

Back from the Big Apple

Hello, it has been awhile. For the few people that read this blog, you know where I've been, and you probably know by now that I had a blast and can't wait for a return trip to NYC! There is so much to do and see in the "big apple" that one would need to take several trips throughout their lifetime to see it all, and I am not even sure if that would be enough. I am working on a slideshow so that you all can see the full trip. I will let you know when it is ready. I missed Connor and Drew so much, and whenever I saw a hotdog stand or pizza place I immediately thought of Drew and how he would love it. Everything reminded me of Connor, the cranes, fire trucks, NYPD riding on horses, and all of the construction sites. It is definitely a site to behold for everyone. Thank you so much to everyone who took care of Connor while I was gone, a lot of people don't have the luxury that I do, and I am so thankful. Also, I am forever grateful to my mom and dad for making the trip possible. Daddy and Mom, you are truly the BEST. Honestly, I am so glad I experienced the big city, and I loved every second of it! HOWEVER, I am so glad the good Lord saw fit to allow me to be born into a tiny town in Georgia. Because, the South is "where it's at!" haha! I just don't know how you raise kids in the city. It is a different world, that's for sure. Like I said, I will post the slideshow after I've completed it, and I hope you all will look at the numerous pictures that I took (if you haven't seen them on facebook already).

Onto a completely different topic, please remember Papa "G" and our entire Garrison family in your prayers. His situation is completely unpredictable right now, but we do know that his time on Earth is coming to an end soon. Pray for Nanny and the rest of the family to have strength and peace as we all get through this rough time with him. It is so sad to see a loved one come to the end of their life on Earth. This is very different than what I experienced with my Mama Rich, her death was unexpected and sudden, and it was all such a blur of how fast it happened. But, it is not easy "waiting" on a loved one to pass on. Like I said, just please pray for comfort, peace, and strength during this difficult time for our entire family.

Thanks and Love to you all that read!

baseball tournament

We had our first game in the tournament last night, and Connor got two good hits! He played so well, and we were very proud of him. Connor is so hard on himself. He struck out at his last time to bat, and he cried and was so disappointed. We finally calmed him down and told him to be proud of himself, because he did great! Really, both teams did awesome. But, our boys were hitting like crazy. It was by far the best game of the season and what baseball is all about!

Connor is staying with my Nanny tooday while I finish up my last day of work. Then, we play ball again tomorrow night (hopefully as well as we did last night).

Drew drove his truck to work today, and he is taking it tonight to be looked at to try and see why it went dead the other morning. If it isn't one thing, it's another. But, we are very blessed and really shouldn't complain.

Have a great day!
Love,
Lindsey
