When Connor gets into any kind of trouble with me, he immediately puts a big smile on his face and says, "Mommy, you know you love me." - It is so hard to keep a straight face when his is so darn cute. And, Connor is right, I DO love him more than words could ever express!

Game has been Cancelled

Connor was supposed to have a game tonight, but it has been cancelled. We are eating birthday dinner with Skylar, so at least we won't be rushing to get there on time. Wait, we will probably be doing that anyway (haha!).

Taking the blog in a new direction...

I have been thinking about doing this for a few weeks now, but I have finally decided to change the blog a little. As you all know, I love pictures! I love talking about fun times from the past and thinking about precious memories! Since I don't have time to write in a journal or diary every single night or get pictures printed daily and put them in an album, I am going to turn this blog into our family scrapbook. Don't worry, Connor will still be the subject of the posts. But, I think it will be neat to blog about our life as a family.

Speaking of family members, our little cousin Garrett was saved tonight at Macedonia's revival. I am so sad that we weren't there to see it, but the important part is that it happened. We are Thanking and Praising God tonight for that answered prayer.

Papa Bud is back in the hospital and being treated for Pneumonia. I pray that the 3 different kinds of antibiotics that the doctor's are giving him will get the job done. I hope he's resting peacefully tonight at the hospital and not giving the docs any trouble about wanting to go home. He needs to stay there and get better! Please keep him and Nanny in your prayers.

Also, I am meeting with a Pharmacist tomorrow about a prospective part-time position. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Sweet Dreams,
Lindsey

Busy & Exciting Saturday

Today is going to be a good day, I just know it! Ashy is off to her first Prom, and we can't wait to see how beautiful she will look. Connor loves having a pretty Aunt with lots of pretty friends ;-) He is a little "girl-crazy" already! Lord, help us! Connor also has his second baseball games. We are hoping for a big hit and lots of fun on this gorgeous Saturday!

I will take lots of pictures...I promise!

Have a great day and get outside to soak up some of this sun!

Game Recap

The baseball game was lots of fun, and Connor enjoyed having everyone there to watch him. Connor only made it to the batting plate once, but he had a good swing. We are looking forward to practicing with him and watching to see how he improves with each game! This year will definitely be more action-filled than t-ball, and we are so excited that the season is underway! Drew has to work on Saturday, but he is still going to be able to make it to the game :)

Have a great night, and remember, tomorrow is Friday! woohoo!!

Batter up!

Drew and I both had the day off today. We surprised Connor and checked him out of school at 12. He was so happy to get to leave school a little early, and of course, he wanted a happy meal. He loves McDonald's (hmmm, where could he get that from)? After running some errands, we went to the park to practice baseball. Connor did awesome! We are hoping for the same kind of effort tomorrow evening at his first game of the season. Let's hope he doesn't get shy with all of his fans there watching, haha!

My Papa Bud came home today, and he is feeling much better. Thank goodness. I know he and my Nanny will be happy to sleep in their own bed. Even with my Nanny running around like crazy trying to get things taken care of at home yesterday, she still managed to make Connor his favorite sandwich while Mom took her car to put gas in it. We are ALL so spoiled by her, and she will never know how much we love her and my Papa.

Sunday, March 21, 2010

The weekend is almost over. It was a pretty busy one for us, but we had fun. Saturday, we were up bright and early for the baseball parade in Ball Ground. We were asked to be at City Hall at 9:00 A.M., and surprisingly, we actually made it on time! It felt so strange to be on time, how sad is that? The parade was short and sweet, that's for sure. After the parade, some jumping in the jump house, and chit chatting with everyone for a bit, we went to see Camden play ball. He did great! We all love Cam to pieces, and we are proud of him for doing so well! After watching Camden play at his game, Connor kept talking about how excited he is for his first game (Wednesday)!

Unfortunately, my Spring Break is ending and it is back to school for me tomorrow. No fun! But, the summer will be here before we know it.

Also, please keep my Papa Bud in your prayers. He is in the hospital, because he has been throwing up for a few days. He was dehydrated, and his BP kept getting higher. They have been doing tests and x-rays today to try and figure out what is going on. He has never been blessed with wonderful health, but he rarely complains and is the sweetest man in the world. We love our Papa Bud so much and just want him to feel better. Con has asked me how he is all day long.

Hoping for a great week for everyone -

Tellus Museum Field Trip

Yesterday, Connor's class went on a trip to the Tellus Museum. It was a lot of fun, and Connor enjoyed every second of it. The weather was nice, so that was an added bonus.  You know he loved this dump truck that was sitting in the parking lot when we pulled in.....

Huge Dinosaur structure...

This was basically an encased toy in Connor's eyes. It was a dump truck, crane, and construction site that you could maneuver from outside the box. Connor loved it, and it was hard to pull him away from this section!

Again, he was working hard with the magnetic crane to move the pieces around. Then, we moved onto the helicopter. He wanted his pic taken in front of it, so I gladly obliged!

In front of some shelves with "science toys" --

Connor and his buddies looking at the computer aquarium.

This was our group for the field trip: Seth, Connor, and Kinsey. They were so well-behaved the whole time! I was really proud of them.

Digging for fossils...we found some and even brought them home with us!

Having fun before visiting the gift shop...

All in all, it was a great day! We are loving the weather today and going out to run some errands this morning. Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!

Connor's Book Choice

Last night before bed, Connor picked out the book that he wanted to take to school. We have lots and lots of classics, tons of neat modern books, an offer from gigi for one of Drew's old books, and of course, a huge selection of John Deere and Caterpillar books. So, as you can see, Con chose one of his John Deere books that we read a lot! The kids in the class loved the book, so Connor made a great choice!

Do y'all notice that Connor is wearing a GREEN shirt?! I so do not think sometimes! Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, and Ms. Nicole has reminded us to wear a green shirt all week on WEDNESDAY! I knew that today wasn't St. Patty's, but I mindlessly put this shirt on Con today. Luckily, we found a green t-shirt that will work just fine for tomorrow, so nobody will be able to sneak any pinches in.

We had baseball practice tonight, so Connor was sleepy and ready for bed after practice and a warm bath!

Have a great night, Connor is already asleep, and I am heading to bed myself.

Once again, playing catch up!

Happy Monday! We are so thankful this morning that everyone is healthy and back on track in our house. We are so so so blessed to have a healthy little boy, and he is rarely sick. However, at the end of last week, he had a nasty virus that zapped all of his energy completely. He went back to school today, and he was a little confused about why I am on Spring Break and he isn't. But, he was fine with it when I told him he has an exciting week ahead. Tomorrow, Connor gets to take his favorite book to class for Ms. Pat to read and baseball practice tomorrow night. On Thursday, we have a field trip to the Tellus Museum. And, then on Friday, he has a day off from school! I wanted to post a couple of pictures from the past couple of weeks that I thought were cute!

I made this little bucket to take Connor's Valentine's to his class (They were scooby doo and really cute!)

The other box was Connor's home-made box that I made for his classmates to put the Valentine's in that they wanted to give him. It is hard to make hearts look "boy-ish" - but, we tried! And, he had a pretty cute box if I say so myself :)

The parents were told that the Valentine's party would start at 1:30. So, when we all got there, all of the kids were waking up from their nap. Connor was still sleepy and not ready to start the partying yet!

See, I am telling ya...he did not want to wake up!

Waiting patiently for the goodies from Ms. Pat & Ms. Nicole....

Dylan and Connor

Can't forget "Seth Dunn" - Connor loves him to death, and he is the sweetest little guy!

He is thinking, "Mom, I am tired of smiling...just let me hang out with my friends!"

Let's check it out....

After leaving the party, Connor couldn't wait to tear into the box and see what kind of candy accompanied the Valentine's cards. I may or may not have had a few pieces of candy with him! Hey, he was willing to share! haha!

Thought this was the cutest part of the box...

This is a picture of one of the "big" snows we have been able to enjoy this year in Georgia...

Gotta have the big wheels to play in the snow with!

I know there were quite a few pics in this post, but I hope you enjoyed them!

Have a great week, and I will post tomorrow about what book Connor chooses to take to his class. If I forget, someone remind me! :)
