1st day of Pre-K

Connor's first day of pre-k was today. He was so excited. On Sunday night, he was asleep by 8 PM. So, this morning...we had no problems getting up and moving.

When I dropped Con off this morning, he didn't cry. When I told him goodbye, he looked a little scared. I didn't want him to start crying, so I kissed him on the cheek - told him I loved him and left. I called at about 11 to check on him, and they said he was doing really good. Instead of being sad, I tried to focus on being thankful that Connor is healthy and able to go to pre-k under normal circumstances. Even still, I was sad! I couldn't help it! But, I know that every day will get a little easier. I am so happy that he is excited over hanging out with his new buddies and playing with all of the "cool toys!" He also really likes Ms. Pat!!!

Thank you Jesus for allowing Connor to be a brave big boy on his first day of school!!! We are SO proud of him.

The best part of my day was when I picked Connor up (1st in line!) - when he came out, he gave me a big hug and kiss on the cheek and said "Hey Mommy! I missed you today!" --- PRICELESS. Absolutely priceless.

Don't blink

We have been so busy with pool days and just playing this summer that I have completely neglected updating the blog. Connor starts school on Monday, and I have an on-going anxiety! I know he will be fine, but the hardest part of this all is the reality that he isn't a tiny little boy anymore. I am so thankful for sweet family and friends that are so supportive of our little guy heading off to preschool. The people closest to me know how hard it will be to let go! We are looking forward to all of the finger painting, learning to read, and playing with new buddies that Connor will be doing. "Don't blink" is the truest song I've ever heard. It is insane to think of how fast time flies. I have SO many pictures from the last two months. I don't even know where to begin. But, these are some of my favorites from the beach. I will try to do a "beach post" next. I will have lots of free time on my hands next week =( There is a picture of my Daddy holding Connor at only days old. He has Connor laying on his chest, and the picture at the top of this post shows just how much Con has grown. However, we are thankful to God for Connor's healthy life thus far and pray he lives a long long healthy & happy life.

1st time swimmer...

While we were at Nona and Papa's pool yesterday, Connor was playing with Aunt Ashley in the pool. Ashley starts screaming, because Connor jumped off the side of the pool and swam to the steps under the water. How exciting!!!! I am going to video it and try to see if I can post a video on here.

What a little fishy!!

Quick update...

Connor voluntarily took these pictures, because he wanted to sit on top of the sod at Harmon field. I have a lot of "beginning of summer" pictures from the lake and pool that I need to post. Baseball season is over...for now! We aren't going to force him to play next year. But, of course, we are hoping he'll be a little more interested in it and ask to play on his own. You never know with him!!
Also, "Mick" and "Dirt" are back our lives. Apparently, they came back on a "beach bus" from a long vacation...haha!! I've never known a child with such an imagination. I had an imaginary friend as a child, and they say it is a sign of intelligence ;-)

Memory Lane...

October 2007

This picture makes me tear up a little. What a little doll! I can't believe my baby boy will be starting pre-school in August. I am going to soak up every second with him this Summer for sure.

Connor has been loving "I Spy" and "Which hand is it in?" lately. It is too funny, because he says "Which hand is IN it?" !!! And, when he plays I spy..he says "I spy with my little eyes..." It is the cutest thing ever. Oh, he also beat his Daddy at tic tac toe the other night...really (drew didn't let him)!! He is too smart for his own good!

I wish we could video every second of everything he does, because he is growing so fast. We love our sweet baby boy more than anything in this world.

Sorry, no pictures today =) But, I am going to upload some new ones from my camera tonight, hopefully.

Easter

I am sorry I haven't updated recently. May 5th (last day of classes) can't get here soon enough!!! But, this is Connor on Easter morning before we headed out for all of the Easter festivities. The sun was shining in his eyes, but he looked so handsome in his seersucker suit! ;-)

First Baseball Game

These are just a few pictures from Connor's first baseball game of 2009. We were late (talk about feeling horrible)! He did good. But, the funnest part of these games is to watch all of the different personalities of the kids. It is so hilarious.

The top picture was at the end of the game, and I think Connor was running toward me thinking "Whew, I made it through!!!" haha.

Parade

The parade was moving so fast, so I didn't really get any great pictures. =)

Dreaming?

These pictures don't need a lot of explanation. Connor was napping on Wednesday evening, and when I checked on him he had propped his head in his hands and raised up -- still sound asleep. Precious!!!

Spring is here...

These are pictures of us at Dalton's baseball game in the beginning of March. Connor fell and hit his head (after mommy and daddy told him to stop climbing 6 million times)! The "boo boo" is gone now, so we are happy! These pictures crack me up. Connor is being all "cool" in the pic with his Aunt Ashy. And, he thinks his Uncle Chad is "the best." Then, Nona is petting him after his little tumble..of course ;-)
On this same day, we had Sydney's birthday party. I will post pictures from that later. I am a little behind on the March events. I will catch up. I promise! We had a busy, busy, busy weekend and at 9:07 A.M., Connor is still asleep. Have a good week everyone =)

Welcome!

Welcome to Connor's blog. This blog is for close family and friends only. Mainly, Connor's blog is being created to ensure that as many memories of him are kept as often as possible. As I was updating Connor's "baby book" today, I realized that it is impossible for me to write down every funny thing or changing stage in his life. So I decided to start a blog for him. This blog is private, so the only people that can look at it are the ones that Drew and I choose. Nobody else can access this blog in anyway. I will try to update every single day, but I am not making any promises! On Connor's blog, I will post pictures of him and our family. I will post about funny things he has said or done that day or week. I will keep track of his sports, etc. You can visit as often as you like and leave comments. =)
Please don't think I am "crazy" for doing this, haha. I think it will be so neat to have all of this for him when he is older. We are constantly on the run, and with a blog I can post pictures or stories straight from my blackberry.
Enjoy!!!
**AGAIN...I want to reiterate that nobody can see this blog unless I have allowed them to. Unless I have invited you, it does not even exist (can't search for it or happen upon it, it is PRIVATE)! We all know how protective I am about stuff like this ;-)
